    Powerhead/Wavemaker Advice

    Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a powerhead that can be put completely underwater. Not only the inside portion but also the part that normally would go outside of the aquaria. I wish to put a powerhead/wavemaker on the angled corner overflow in one of my tanks, and therefore the normally external part will be constantly underwater.

What do you recommend? I'd like it to be controllable however if it will only be a straight stream that'll be alright too. I also would really like it if it mounted magnetically, I have a strong hate for the suction cups of the old days.

Thanks for your advice and opinions,

    Zack

Several people do this with Jebao pumps. Obviously you can not do it with a Vortech. Some people have removed the rubber on the dry side and did a layer of silicone to seal it a little better. Others have used food seal machines and completely sealed the magnet in a pouch. I have also heard of others just putting the magnet in with 0 issues for a year or so the last I heard. I personally like the idea of putting them in a food vacuum seal machine if you have one like I do.
